This is definitely an "Idiots of the World" story. I laughed when I read this story over the weekend, partially because of the complete stupidity of these two bank robbers and partially because it reminded me of a scene from Office Space (great movie!). If you have seen Office Space, your know what I am talking about. If you have not seen the movie, you should as it is very funny.

Anthony Digiosaffatte and Paul Villanueva stuck some of the cash in a washing machine to cleanse it of red dye from a special pack that exploded during the heist, authorities said.

The men stole $65,000 at gunpoint from a bank in Queens on Tuesday, according to criminal complaints.

Digiosaffatte told the tellers, "No dye packs," the complaints said, referring to packs of dye banks use to foil robbers by making stolen money unusable.

Imagine that, the tellers still put dye packs into the bags. Not only did these two wash the money to try to get the dye off - which would probably never happen as the point of the dye packs is to ruin the money completely - but they lost a majority of it when they dropped about $30k outside the bank and left some in the getaway car. Man I bet they were pissed about their botched attempt at bank robbery.

Enjoy prison guys. I hope they do not convince anyone to try to break out of prison by any plans they come up with based on the results of their handy-work here. Idiots.
