It appears that Randall Raar was in court two weeks ago about the child porn charges brought against him, and I missed it. The charges were brought against Raar back in early May after police raided his home based on a tip that linked Raar to the Oakland County child killer case from the 1970's. According to 7 Action New out of Southfield, Michigan a previous victim of Raar's was in the courtroom for the proceedings. Following is a portion of the article, but click here for their full story.

April Shipley was seated in the courtroom, despite the fact that she didn’t have to be there, and is not expecting to testify.

Shipley says Raar, who has just been arraigned on child pornography charges, is the same man who forced himself onto her back in the early 1980’s, when the now 37-year-old was a teenager.

Shipley told 7 Action News that she gave pictures of herself as a child to detectives. They will check to see if Shipley’s photographs match items taken from Raar’s home.

Not cool that Ashley Shipley went through that experience, however, it say a lot for her to come forward and help authorities where possible in this case. On one hand, I hope that they do not find any pictures in his collection that match the ones she provided to police. On the other hand, I do hope they find a match just so they have even more proof to use against this sick bastard. I really hope that they burn this guy hard for having the child porn. Also, if you look at the following photo, he does look pretty creepy - like the type that would be involved in child porn activities. It still would not surprise me if their latest tip was accurate and Raar had something to do with the 1970's murders, even if he did not do the killing himself.
