COURT TV AND THE NATIONAL CENTER FOR MISSING & EXPLOITED CHILDREN PARTNER FOR A MULTI-PLATFORM INITIATIVE TO "KEEP AMERICA SAFE"
This press release came out on Tuesday from Court TV and NCMEC as they team up to help protect children and inform families all over the world.
More than 2,000 children are reported missing to law enforcement each day in the United States. One in five children (10 to 17 years old) receive unwanted sexual solicitations online. To help combat these problems, Court TV has teamed up with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as part of the network's Keep America Safe campaign. This multi-tiered partnership will harness the network's on-air and online platforms as well as its relationship with cable affiliates to help track missing children and educate families on prevention and safety.I do not want to cut and paste the entire release, even though it sounds pretty neat, so please click on the link to check it out and get yourself informed. In addition, when a child is abducted Court TV will immediately produce a television spot with all the significant information to air on local cable affiliates in an effort to spread the word more quickly and to a wider audience.
Kudos to both groups for their efforts!
