Another interesting story from NBC Local 4 News out of Detroit. It appears that a toddler may have walked out of a daycare facility in Detroit and none of the caregivers even noticed.

The boy's mother told Local 4 that her mother went to the Winners Day Care in Taylor to pick up her son. When her mother arrived, employees of the day-care center said the boy was already picked up, but nobody signed him out.

The boy's family searched for hours before finding him sitting under a pine tree in the parking lot of a nearby business.

It seems odd that there was no mention of police involvement in the search, only family members. I would think that the first thing you would want to do is get the police involved. I am simply glad that the family found the boy and he was OK. I posted on another similar story a while back where a girl was able to walk out of her daycare unseen and ended up drowning in a nearby pond. This is definitely a much happier ending, but it should not happen in the first place.
